Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using any service offered by SKV Travel Companion (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing our website, making a booking, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws of India.

1. Definitions

  • “Service” means all transportation, travel package, fleet rental, and corporate travel services provided by SKV Travel Companion.
  • “User” / “You” means any individual or entity that accesses our website or books a Service.
  • “Booking” means a confirmed reservation for any Service.
  • “Driver” means a professional driver engaged by SKV Travel Companion to operate a vehicle.
  • “Vehicle” means any car, SUV, van, or luxury vehicle made available by SKV Travel Companion.
  • “Fare” means the total price payable for a Service, inclusive of applicable taxes.

2. Scope of Services

SKV Travel Companion provides the following categories of services:

  • Cab & Taxi Services – Airport transfers, local city rides, and point-to-point cab bookings.
  • Outstation Trips – One-way and round-trip intercity travel with professional drivers.
  • Travel Packages & Tours – Curated travel packages including transport, itinerary coordination, and optional guided tours.
  • Fleet Rental – Vehicle hire (with driver) for corporate events, weddings, and extended engagements.
  • Corporate Accounts – Managed travel solutions for businesses, including invoicing, reporting, and dedicated account management.

3. Booking & Reservations

3.1 Booking Confirmation

A Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation (SMS, email, or WhatsApp message) from SKV Travel Companion. Verbal confirmations do not constitute a binding reservation.

3.2 Accurate Information

You must provide accurate pickup/drop locations, dates, times, passenger counts, and contact details. SKV Travel Companion shall not be liable for delays or failures arising from incorrect information provided by the User.

3.3 Availability

All Bookings are subject to vehicle and driver availability. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a Booking if a suitable vehicle is unavailable, in which case a full refund will be processed promptly.

3.4 Advance Booking

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day bookings are accepted subject to availability and may attract a same-day surcharge.

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1 Fare Calculation

Fares are calculated based on distance, vehicle type, waiting time, tolls, state taxes, driver allowances, and applicable night charges. All Fares are quoted inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise in writing.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept UPI, net banking, debit/credit cards, and cash (for select routes). Corporate accounts may be invoiced monthly on agreed credit terms.

4.3 Surcharges

Additional charges may apply for: waiting beyond 15 minutes of scheduled pickup, excess luggage, interstate travel, peak or festive-season demand, and requests for specific vehicle models not included in the base booking.

4.4 Disputed Fares

Any fare dispute must be raised within 48 hours of trip completion. Disputes raised after this window may not be considered. Please contact our support team with your Booking reference and a description of the issue.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

5.1 User-Initiated Cancellations

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund.
  • Cancellation 4–24 hours before pickup: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation within 4 hours of pickup or no-show: No refund.

Travel packages and multi-day tours follow a separate cancellation schedule provided at the time of booking confirmation.

5.2 Company-Initiated Cancellations

If SKV Travel Companion cancels a confirmed Booking due to reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund within 7 business days, or the option to rebook at no additional cost.

5.3 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method. Bank processing timelines may extend this period and are beyond our control.

6. User Obligations

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations during the trip.
  • Treat Drivers with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Not consume alcohol, smoke, or use illegal substances inside the vehicle.
  • Not carry prohibited, hazardous, or illegal items.
  • Be ready at the confirmed pickup location at the scheduled time.
  • Not exceed the permitted passenger capacity of the booked vehicle.
  • Inform us in advance of any special requirements, including child seats, wheelchair accessibility, or medical needs.

Any damage to the vehicle caused intentionally or through negligence by a User or their guests will be assessed and charged in full to the User.

7. Driver & Vehicle Standards

SKV Travel Companion is committed to:

  • Deploying only licensed, commercially insured, and background-verified Drivers.
  • Maintaining vehicles in roadworthy condition with valid permits, insurance, and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates.
  • Providing clean, sanitised, and well-maintained vehicles appropriate for the booked service type.
  • Ensuring Drivers adhere to all traffic laws and maintain safe, courteous driving standards at all times.

We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or higher category if the originally assigned vehicle becomes unavailable due to operational reasons.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • SKV Travel Companion shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from a single Booking shall not exceed the Fare actually paid for that Booking.
  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by traffic, weather conditions, road closures, civil unrest, government orders, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
  • We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or luggage during a trip. Users are encouraged to insure valuable items independently.

9. Force Majeure

SKV Travel Companion shall not be held in breach of these Terms for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, government directives, strikes, acts of war, or infrastructure failures. In such events, we will promptly notify you and use best efforts to arrange a rebooking or process an appropriate refund.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the SKV Travel Companion website — including logos, brand names, text, images, software, and design — is owned by or licensed to SKV Travel Companion and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Any reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

11. Privacy

Your use of our Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Grievance Redressal (India)

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, any grievances regarding our services or data handling may be addressed to our designated Grievance Officer:

All grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt and resolved within 30 days in accordance with applicable law.

13. GDPR & International Users

If you access our Services from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR. These rights are addressed in our Privacy Policy. While these Terms are governed by Indian law, we do not seek to limit any statutory rights you may hold under your local jurisdiction.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. The parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith before initiating formal legal proceedings.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable.

16. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our Services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
